Vesper App Reviews

Pretty good

Still something missing, what if I loose my phone ? How can I retrieve my travel notes? What if I wish to insert 2pictures in one single note? Or perhaps merge two notes together? And sharing from Safari? Im not looking for a bloated app still some basic functions should be there. I keep it and wait for updates.

Very Disappointed

It is abandonware, if you have an ipad dont even bother.

Abandoned

Buggy, abandoned, and no way to export and use something else. I feel betrayed.

Abandoned

I loved vesper before it was seemingly abandoned. No updates to fix bugs or add new features. No promised Mac app. The developers dont even respond to the support emails. Its pretty shameful that theyre charging $10 for this.

Elegant app design

I use Vesper for all my to-do lists. Its clear and uncluttered, and it does what I need. I still wish for a way to edit a tag so it gets changed on every item where its used, but thats not a huge deal. I wouldnt object if there were a link to the App Store for reviews in the credits page.

Simple and way over priced

Its ridiculous that this app is touted on tech sites. They only thing different between this and the iOS Notes app is the color and tags. You should research this app first. There is no action extension. The new iOS 9 Notes makes this app even more of an overpriced nonsense app.

Wonderful App

Elegant, simple, almost self-organizing. I am somewhat disorganized and often free-associative when it comes to note-taking. I have used many different note apps and I am drawn back to this one the most often. It has made organizing my busy life infinitely easier. Thank you!

Also A Dessert Topping

Vesper has worked well for me as a note-taking app, but I recently discovered that the tagging feature makes it very effective as a task manager. I use special characters to force certain tags to the top of the list, and tagging allows me to cross-reference various tasks (something which was missing in all the other task managers I tried). The lack of alerts is actually a good thing in my case; it forces me to routinely check my important tasks (Im constantly dismissing them with other apps, and having demanding alerts pop up always makes me want to rebel against them). Overall, Vesper has turned out to be a very handy app for my purposes. One improvement I would like to see is the ability to create sub-categories or some other kind of hierarchy in the tag list. I think it would be immensely helpful in keeping the throng of tags organized, even at the risk of adding an extra layer of complexity.

Im rooting for you

Serious bugs when creating a new tag if youre already in the list for another tag Please add dark mode Please fix the case of vanishing notes Improve the iPad layout Please add a capture extension, with tag selection and ability to prepend and append

Poor iPad Air editing...

This app works perfectly on my iPhone 5S. It works not very well on my iPad Air (the original one). For some reason selecting text on the iPad version of Vesper is a disaster. Single word selection works fine, but trying to select anything longer than a word and the entire document gets inadvertently selected. This happens repeatedly and has rendered any editing on the iPad useless. Im now hunting for another notes app when clearly this should have been the one. Very frustrating.

iPad support is buggy and almost unusable.

iPad support is buggy. ------- old review----- No iPad sync, so cannot replace Drafts for me. Also, Drafts kills it in the export area, but Vesper has got tags and photo capabilities. If it gets an iPad app, were in business.

weak app scam

this is weak and a joke no support or help s/b free another con app by scammers

Unable to Scroll Notes

I emailed support twice about this over the last few weeks since iOS 9 launched. No acknowledgement this is being addressed. My wife already switched to something else because the app is unusable and Im following suite. Clearly, this would have come to light back when the beta was released so Im sad to see support has ceased for this great app. Sorry guys but you lost me. Im out.

Buggy

Its great. Dont get me wrong, but I think some of these bugs have existed for so long Ive kinda lost hope. I may eventually just move to Notes.app.

Lack of Mac app

Love the UI and everything else about Vesper. Even its performance and stability have been flawless. However, I take notes on more than just my iPhone. I know quality apps take time but not having a Mac app really makes it useless for me since I reference notes on my Mac all the time. Its like having a Ferrari and leaving it parked in the garage. Plus, with the iOS 9 update to Notes, all the features I use have been added to Notes...it just may not look as pretty.

Amazing App

Vesper is a great app whenever I need to access my notes I can open it on any mobile device and its just so easy to use. Its great for jotting down a quick idea. Im just waiting on the Mac version to come out and then i will be set for life. Thank you so much for making this app!

Disintegrating, abandoned app

Lovely app that has been abandoned. Not the slightest pretense of support. Nobody home. Very sad...like a lovely child shivering on a street corner.

Great Little Notes App

Simple, elegant, easy to use. Kind of wish there was markdown/rich text support, but hey, you cant have everything.

A truly elegant notes app

Vesper is a thing of beauty. It does one thing and it does it perfectly. The new sync feature is the epitome of good design. The entire app feels like a labor of love with an exceptional attention to detail. Every screen, every typeface choice, every animation shows deep thought went into this app and that makes it a joy to use. Kudos on the great work. I cant wait to see what you do on the Mac.

Great Design with Big Bug Fixed

Used to give 1 star, now give 4 because of the fix to the long standing scrolling bug. Scrolling and editing now works great on long notes, thankful that the devs responded. Just waiting for the Mac version that theyve talked about!
