Vesper App Reviews

Yep

Bought it when it came out. Would like to see some way to pay more to guarantee sync will be a permanent service.

Exquisite Craftsmanship !!!

A stunningly beautiful app!!! Font and transition enthusiasts will want to own this. Simple to use. Offers photo functionality not found in many other similar apps. Sync functionality finally here!! I Would also like to see voice memos added as no current voice memo app has this level of aesthetics. Also I would like to see drawing and checklists added in iOS 9. Looking forward to seeing Vesper grow.

Do not buy!

This app is essentially abandoned. Never updated to do anything useful with iOS 8 & 9. Doesnt work as advertised, bugs are never fixed, sync is broken or unreliable. No customer support either. This app should be pulled from sale. Notes by Apple blows this out of the water. Its a shame because the app was beautiful and had a ton of potential. The best implementation of tagging Ive seen will be sorely missed. Considering the developers behind this app, Im shocked the way they have handled this app. A textbook example of how not to develop an app and communicate with your user base.

So vaprous

Okay, it’s a nice looking silo. But for way too long they’ve talked of the apps cousins (OS X, iPad) with nary a sighting to be seen. There are so many alternatives to this functionality currently available, with syncing across devices, that I don’t recommend this big talk little action app. Expensive abandonware. Promises, promises. Blah, blah.

Vesper is not it...

I bought Vesper out of curiosity. Always looking for a better note taking app, it is disappointing to have to say that this app is not even close to being the note taking app for me. I have used it a total of 3 times since I bought it and thats a downer. For me, Vesper lacks a heart. It lacks emotion and the ease of use the very best apps posses. Sure, it looks nice but it cant compete with those note apps up in the top. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Great app, but where is it going?

Even after the improvements in Apple’s Notes app, Vesper is still way better as an app: it has tags, it allows you to reorder notes, and it’s generally much more elegant. But there’s a general feeling of drift: no posts on the blog for nearly a year, and no word of a replacement for the main programmer, though someone must be doing at least a bit of programming to keep the minor updates coming. I wonder if they’ve given up the idea of bringing Vesper to the Mac? For people who only use iOS, I would still recommend it heartily, but for people like me with a Mac-centric workflow it’s difficult to stay on board without some positive signals from the company.

Whats up?

1 star for advocating users to 1-star apps that prompt for reviews.

Best Note Taking App

Best note taking app in the app store. Tagging has never been this easy and useful. All around beautiful design. Syncing has just arrived, which has been the only thing missing.

Great app with a terrible logo:(

My favorite of all note taking apps. Please change the logo !!!!!

Great, clean design

All is good, the only drawback that Ideal Sans has no Cyrillic glyphs…

Dont buy it if youre going to write in russian (or any other non-latin language)

Youve read about great typography — forget it. The font doesnt have russian glyphs. And you cant have non-latin characters in a header of your notes.

make sync

make sync with Evernote, pls

Probably the best note keeper...

Besides many improvement in the last version, there are plenty of small bugs. For example, when you copy huge texts from another app and after pasting them in Vesper you try to correct or add something there is a problem with keyboard. Also, it could be much sleeker!)

Upset

Vesper tends to be good replacement for Apple Notes. Tagging notes was so long-expected. But lack of cross-device sync and Cyrillic characters support upsets

Really good application

Im using it for last year. It is really good, with clean interface and not annoying like many others note taking apps. Works well with Cyrillic font. Just fix the text scrolling for long notes, that starts to work curved after latest update.

Feature request

It is a great app though it will be better if you add support of bold headlines for non English languages. For example if no I use Cyrillic in the first line of note it is not becoming bold with expected behavior of whole first line becoming bold. Will very appreciate if you add this feature.

iOS 9 update

Please fix app. Cannot scroll down my notes after iOS 9 update!

Simple, good job!

Simple, useful, the only thing I HARDLY suggest is to develop a feature that connect the note directly to Google Maps when I take a note of an address. Only this and then I think would be the BEST EVER

Simple but well done

Minimalist and very simple. This is a good particularity. You cant do anything more than write a note, add an image and tag it. Super easy to use and incredibly nice.

Bugs

Still got a few bugs. Anytime I try to move or select a point where to put the cursor it takes me to the bottom of the page. I cant find it easy to select portions of my notes or delete some. Please fix
